Cos this idea came up in the channel the other day, I thought I'd throw this up. Who thinks it's a good idea? Let's have thoughts on times and places.

Oooo *grins and dances round*
What an ace idea. Need to plan when it is so I can bake brownies and stuff and not eat them all myself.
When? How soon? Where? Overnight, or a day thing?
May is completely busy for me. June isn't bad though, or July, Uagust is agaon loking a little busy, though might be able to fit in, depending on when.

Hmmm, not sure about this. If I could hypothetically go, May-early july is a complete no-go for me (*shakes fist at GCSEs*).
That and I would need a way to convince my parents to let me go...

May/early June is probably out for me, birthday celebrations and stuff. I was thinking maybe over a weekend to make it worth the trip (if it's far away for some poeple).
To get some perspective, I live in norwich, in norfolk. That's the southeast. I can probably manage a train to most places, although it's a push and I'd have to save.

Okies, based upon my only other experience of a RL meet of a bunch of CoH players (which basically involved me, Jester and Inny getting lost and drunk in Manchester, meeting the LLOD gang, going for a meal, more drinking (gay bars FTW!!) and me somehow talking them into a night at Gilly's (rock/metal club, ace night)) and the insanity on the FA channel, SG chat, /tells and PM's I can see this being quality
Time and place? I'm easy on both counts so a date where everyone has a couple of free days back to back (for those driving etc, trekking home after a hectic day / night can't be much fun, and driving tired is bad) would probably be for the best (also gives us more time to terrorise the locals, which can't be a bad thing)

Striver has a point unfortunatly.
Its not like i couldnt get a ticket and fly to UK but come on .. would i do that for just spending 1 day there ?
Havent seen my paycheck yet so i cant really say if its an expense i can live with ( but i doubt that it is ).
Still like the idea however and it has crossed my mind before too.

May/Early June are nopes for me, as I have my GCSEs. After that though, I'm free until collage starts.
And Veskit, if me and Sol come, getting into nightclubs/bars could be a bit of a problem.

Hardly an issue matey. There is more to life than drinking, and if alcohol is needed to have an enjoyable day/night/whatever then there's something really wrong.
I'm pretty sure we can find something to occupy us (for example..... Paint-balling, lets all shoot Friday!! )

Okay, so from the looks of the posts, late July is going to be best for everyone.
I'm going to stick my neck out and suggest the 21st July as a date for the meet.
As for where - lets figure out one thing at a time. I'm thinking if we sort out the when, then the specifics of where can be planned in slower time.
Ves's suggestion of paint ball sounds as though it might be fun. Although I've not been paintballing before and suspect I might come home with bruises. However, depending on where it is, I might be able to drum up more mad people if we need a bigger group for paintballing maddness.
Sooo, back to the date. Is the 21st July a problem for anyone?
answers on a post card please, or just on this forum if you don't wanna send me pretty pictures.
