We have Kitoons, Iris arts and Vicky arts... So I thought it was my turn to have a "display" thread so to speak. I present... MaD at work!
I love my job, so I wanted to share some of the more special assignments I've been on, through my 11 years on the job. The job basically consists of driving out to "customers" and help them with their problems regarding lifting/transportation heavy objects of all shape, sizes and weight.
Not to firm on technical terms in english, but I'll explain as good as I can. I drive what is called a loader crane I believe, it's a crane mounted on a lorry/truck. Started in 1996 and I've had 6 different vehicles through the years. That will explain different looking cranes/trucks (I prefer truck, lorry sounds small )
First things first... My first crane! Church tower needed a new spike, so who do you call?
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/42.jpg
Crane number 2! A small ship from 1924 had to be moved to be put back in original shape, I don't have to tell you that the ship was VERY fragile . I managed to get Headline Stealer Badge IRL
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Mand25.jpg
Next up! The 3 cranes I drove in Copenhagen. First a quick and simple piccy of "Vogn 24"
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/VG24.jpg
Now here comes "Miraculix" The biggest crane I've driven to date(untill december/january 2007/2008) Miraculix is the wizard in the cartoons... you know...
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Lkkerbil11.jpg
Pictures of Miraculix...

On to the jobs!...
8,5 tons concrete wall elements need stacking, so they form a wall...
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Elementmontage6.jpg
Elevator shaft...
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Elevatorskakt1.jpg
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Elevatorskakt2.jpg
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Elevatorskakt6.jpg
Glass hoisting... This requires a steady hand!

i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/HejsafruderiIshj3.jpg
"Demolition" of a supermarket... well, relocating more actually. All the wall sections weigh approx 10-11 tons. They get loaded onto a second truck and driven to their new location.

i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Flipud2.jpg
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/Flipover6.jpg
In my line of work, accidents DO happen... but this one was a first to me... !noone got injured! It simply snapped! That was the end of "Martha"

Of I go into the sunset with my own crane as cargo...
This is my current ride "Quasimodo"
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/90tm-13.jpg
On the drawing board is my new ride, which I'll get in December/January... A BIG MOFO. It's gonna be the strongest loader crane in Denmark with regular license plates on. And on top of that, there's a chance it's gonna be A BRAND NEW MODEL!. So I'll be one of the first in DK to drive this beast. Name is ready, I doubt thee "Brutalis"

i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/NymodelMAN001.jpg
i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/JesperBM/NymodelMAN005.jpg
I'll post a lifting diagram on the sucker when I get around to scanning it... but I can say this, it picks up 2 tons on 30 meters reach. Or 38 tons on 3 meters.
That's all for me, hope you enjoyed the pictures.
