Beach Party

Okay, so there was talk of a beach party and I am feeling hassled about organising a date. Everyone seems to want it organised but no one seems to want to put any effort into suggesting a realistic time frame for it.

The suggested date was the Saturday after double XP weekend, which everyone seemed happy with.

Now neither Shad nor I can make that date, but I don't see why we should change the date because of that. We can always have another one.

So, the plan is to hold a beach party next saturday. from 8pm til late. If some one wants to put something on the GG thread on the official forums, that might be a good idea. I haven't read them for ages, so probably not a good idea for me to do it.

I'd suggest that if two of us can't make the date, we're not all happy with it.

Might, maybe, be able to make the Sunday, but is doubtful. We are away all weekend.

Not sure what I'm doing that weekend, I do know I'm not available on the saturday though.

Given this set of circumstances, should we therefore move it to the Sunday? That is more likely to mean Pix and I can attend (though still a little iffy), and it would be a shame if several people couldn't make it to the party.

As far as I'm concerned, rearranging to allow everyone to attend can only be a good thing.

I know this has been in the pipe line for a while now, and has been bounced about a bit, but it's hardly an FA beach party if there's FA members mising who'd love to attend, especially when they'd like to attend both IC and OOC.

As I'm free whenever dates tend not to matter much, but I'm sure that those with prior engagements could sit down for 5 - 10 minutes and thrash out a suitable time for all.

And if it gets moved back another few weeks or whatever, then fine, as far as I'm concerned it'll be worth the wait to know that everyone was able to enjoy the evening.

I could probably make it for a short while, although I'd have to leave early as I the next two weeks are my exams and so I'm forcing myself to go to bed at a sensible time rather than going to sleep when I should be waking up (Yes I'm looking at you Ves).

I wouldnt want it to be moved just for me, as I would feel guilty and I would still be going (if for a short time).

And big hugs for Pix for actualy organising something while the rest of us were just doing the usual 'we should...' routine *hugz*

Seeing as everyone seems fixated on this weekend now, consider it bumped to Sunday. The number of folks who can't make Sat is starting to add up.
