Hey, folks. fea has OOC asked me if I know of anyone who might be interested in a plotline that he (he? she? it?) is planning on running soon, involving the Circle of Thorns. I don't have much detail at this moment in time (mainly because I want to be in the plot), other than that the intention is for a single-team-sized group will be involved, coupled with a custom Architect story arc, some investigation and a chunk of story (not in that order). It's very open, and as I said, I'm going to be taking part, regardless, on Shad, so quite literally anyone who knows Richard can easily get involved if they want to. Anyone interested, just let me know. Cheers!

I haf no idea who this Fea person is. But RP good and whatnot. So yeah, I guess this is something I would like to be doing? Unless it turns out Fea is someone who hates me and i just don't know it yet.

Kit's bugged, and cannot therefore participate in stuff which involves actual missions (unless I feel like making a cuppa between frames). And nobody else knows anyone else, unless the arc allows lowbie PuG type stuff IC.

Right, subject to change if people are unavailable, fea has suggested making a move on this on Sunday, 21 June 2009. I'll snag more details about who might be suitable (though an IC PuG actually sounds quite reasonable, from what little I know of the plotline), as well as a time and a place to begin. For the record, the premise so far (which is pretty much everything that Richard knows) is that the good old Circle of Thorns are behaving strangely, acting outside their normal parameters in terms of kidnappings and thefts. Therefore, one way to bring in almost any character would be for them to "just happen" to be investigating something the Circle are up to, and thus stumble across Fea, Dicky et al.

Possible problems include that being father's day. Availability probable, but not assured.

fea had forgotten that Sunday if Father's day (as had I, since I tend to ignore it since my dad passed away), and has therefore decided (due to additional commitments on fea's part for the rest of this week) that Tuesday evening of next week ( 23rd, time to be confirmed) would be a good day for it.

Right, the ruling from the plotter is that we'll make a start at 8.00 on Tuesday night. Location currently unknown, but if you're online, then we can sort that out at the time.
Thankies, all.

Well, it went ahead as planned, last night.
Set-up took about half an hour total, which is fairly fast for the old cat-herding problem.
The team was as follows:
Shadowe (Team Lead) Shadowstain (Plas) Fea (ebil plotter) Kathena Lumi Bubble Wrap
The arc was a 5 mission affair, starting off against Warriors, but swiftly migrating to CoT. It was the "usual" run-of-the-mill "Circle performing a ritual to take over the world!" affair.
The missions ran quite smoothly, all told, and the clues and information were there. Admitedly it felt a little forced at times, and the end of mission breaks weren't strictly flexible enough - at some points I found myself wanting to be able to continue the missions without visiting the contact.
As such, I'll be writing up a guide on the official forums about using the Architect tools as an RP aid.

Hi all,
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was involved. Considering it was my first attempt at anything like this I think it went rather well, and I hope I get to do something with you all again in the future.
