We have recently been made aware of a new scam that is targeted towards our user base using the following email addresses:

This communication is not coming from NCsoft!

If you have been the target of this phishing scheme or any other solicitation for information please contact me via PM with any details that you feel may be important to us to help us investigate these situations.

Please note:

NCsoft will never ask you for your password or secret question, and all account verification issues are handled in an inbound system, meaning we don't call you to verify your account, you call us.

Silly phishing fish-guys.

Odd that NCsoft have put this up on the official forums but not the updater though. type of people who find/use the forums seem to be the part of the userbase least likely to fall for this sort of thing. o.O

In my experience people don't read the updater, or patch notes. The only ones who do are the type who lurk on the forums anyway.
