I returns! (at really silly time! insomnia ftw!) Anywho. Because I be strange, and because I left a plot unfinished, and because I'm in a writing sort of mood, I wants to turn it into a story of sorts! But! because it will involve characters of other people, namely you lot, and I likes to think I have some ethics (somewhere... >.>), this is sort of me officially asking permission to use them. In the (I suspect highly unlikely) event that anyone wants to actually help with this, then toss me a PM here and I'll sort something out and it would be appreciated, because two minds better than one especially with my brokenmind. o.O Anyway, if people for whatever reason would rather I didn't use their creations, that's cool, I'll write around it. Would just like to know beforehand rather than midway. If it helps any, I'll let people who want to read it before I post it anywhere remotely public and beat me for misusing their character if that be the case. Anywho again! Characters (other than mine, obviously) I can see using at this point! Shadowe Luminescence Veskit Cyder Alita Chlorr Lu Kitmarch AkkarinI've no doubt forgotten some (those of you who know me at all well will know how awful my memory is) and I'll get to those as I get to them (or people could suggest them I guess! ) Anyway for the third time, sleep time! In the case that anyone responds, I appreciate it. ^_^

More than happy for you to use Ves and Cy, and to have then go through pretty much whatever (within reason o'course, don't want either of them getting deaded or anything) so feel free to have as much fun as you need m'dear.
Also, nice to hear from you again Teh May!!, hope you had a pleasent Christmas and a great New Year (would have said so at the time but Ves had a technical bloomin' nightmare over the holidays)

Feel free to use Shadowe and Luminescence, May! And great to hear from you (I know I've seen you pop up on MSN once or twice, but usually when I've been smack in the middle of something that's taking up all my attention).

hithar again! o.o Also yay for helpfulness! This little project will take some time to bear fruit though, so allow me to toss another little idea out for consideration. Those of you capable of paying attention no doubt noticed me doing this the last couple of years, and I've gradually been editing and purging my way through the first result of that particular endeavour in order to make it somewhat readable and improve it and whatnot. Getting to the point (I know, I have a vast talent for waffling ), I've reached the point with it where I find it increasingly difficult to refine it further on my own. To put it bluntly, I need some fresh eyes on it to get any further, and since you guys (for some reason) seem to like my stuffs, I thought of you lot as an obvious test market of sorts. Thing is, though, the primary purpose of posting it here would be to improve it, so I'd ask that in return for your free entertainment (hopefully. >.>) you give me some constructive feedback on it. It was mostly written in a notepad-equivalent to avoid distractions and formatting it to be readable in a forum environment will be somewhat of a time-consuming effort. To make that effort worthwhile, on top of college work and other stuff I have to do, I will want some help with that whole improving thing. Selfish? Probably, but I thought I'd throw it out and see if I get any takers. Over to you, folks.

Plas may be a little dumb here, but where am I supposed to be looking exactly?

Not being dumb at all, assuming zePlas means what i think he does. What I meant/mean is that I would like some idea of whether people would be willing to read/comment on this thing before I start converting and posting it, since it's (obviously) about 50,000 words and making it forum-readable will be somewhat of a large effort. That's right, I've resorted to ransom! (not really, but seriously, I really really would like some feedback on this one since it's by far my most ambitious project. >.>)

Sorry if I missed the initial offer, not checked forums as much as I usually do recently...
Anyways, Yus, I'd be happy to read through what you've written before you tinker to make it all forum ready

duly noted, mrVes! *extrahugs for you*
Though actually meant (English, my nemesis! *shakefist*) that I'd need some idea of interest before making the effort to put it up in forum-mode for reading-shaped things.
I'm going to have to rejig it anyway to make it readable since outside the specific program used to write it (which has apparently been discontinued for some reason) it's a formatting nightmare. Damn sloppy coding! *shakefistagain*
Also answers from anyone else, maybe? Don't get my tone wrong here, not gonna be chasing after you to pick over every little bit I put up as soon as I do so, this is purely a friendly type of thing that I thought people could maybe do if they have spare moments for reading lying about somewheres. >.>
Answers better than no answers! I don't even mind if it's that you have no time to help but you'd like to read what's there, as long as you say so so I know where I am! It's a heirarchy-shaped vegetable:
Yes make happyMay! No with explanation make acceptantMay! No without explanation make disappointed but still acceptantMay! No answer makes May wonder if she's done something to upset you! No answer when specifically asked makes May wonder why she bothers.
(explanation in bigbold because I know that's going to come across the wrong way to someone: this is not in particular response to anything, I'm not saying like time's up for answering or nothing, just wanted to make stuff clear)

First off, let me apologise for not posting here in so long. Needless to say, things have been somewhat crazy (more than usual) in the Fridan household. Secondly, I have no problem whatsoever with you using my characters in anyway you see fit, and I'm happy to provide backround or whatever else may be needed. And lastly, I'd love to read what you have so far and give feedback (mostly jealousy at your superior writing skillz ). Oh and hey guys, I'm still alive. *waves*

A Fri! Itought that was some sort of mythical creature! *takes picture* Anywho. Sorry if I seemed crabby up there, usually a bit better at phrasing things neutrally, though it would be slightly dishonest of me to say I don't get slightly frustrated at times with this sort of thing. Whether I should or not is for other people to judge I guess. >.> Also thinking about it I have no idea how to manage this whole feedback idea of mine. pms would be possible but kind of unwieldy... maybe topic for the thing itself and another for things noticed? is written in chapter-like blocks so quite easy to break into small sections. Better ideas welcomed, of course!

Forum-readability processing progresses apace and may even be complete on a reasonable first chunk. To put it simply, proposal is thusway for posting this/soliciting feedback:
One topic for story itself, posted in managable chunks every so often Secondary topic for commentary and pointing out of stupid errors for each part as posted.
Kinda busy with college as people know, so the thing won't go up that fast, but I'll try to keep some kind of regular schedule.
Thoughts? objections? better ideas?

Possibly not as helpful as you'd hoped, but my thought on your suggested posting ways...
The thread for the story itself is a great idea, keeps things nicely collected to avoid confusion etc. Ves likes this part
The thread for feedback / pointing out errors etc, well, apart from it no doubt turning into a thread of praise for the story thread (which it will, we all know it) I think this is also a wise move, as it prevents such feedback breaking up the story thread, meaning once it's all posted we'll be able to read it easily managable chunks. Nothing worse than having to sift through a bunch of random comments by readers between chapters etc
