Erm.... miss typed word?

Okays, so I was reading another forum tonight and am struggling a little with the following paragraph:

But today she finally gathered up the courage to go out into the rough area of Kings Row, which was where she resided. An area plagued with gang violence and opportunists. Collaring her loyal Alsatian she headed out, the flat didn't have a lift or disabled access so it made it that much more of a twat, but through determination she made it out. Upon exiting she looked on at the basketball court as a few gang members idilly played with the orange ball, showing off to their girlfriends. The white and gray clad Skul members looked to wheelchair bound Holly whom was dressed in what she always wore, she still wore a skirt, she still wore a T-shirt with something offensive written on it, and she still had her trademark raspberry red hair, the only thing really different was that she had no legs from the mid-thigh down, also on the back of her wheelchair was a baseball bat, the wheelchair itself was as personal as Holly, laced in rock group stickers and a host of souvenirs. She didn't have the money to buy electric, and if anything she could probably beat an average guy in an armwrestle. Alertly walking by Holly's wheelchair was Tammy, who made the opportunist street punks think twice.

So, I'm trying to figure out what the word "twat" is meant to be in the third sentence. Any ideas?

Can't think of anything that'd fit. I assume the author intended this, although I've never seen that particular word used in that context.... 0.0

Not seen it used in that context. Cant think of a miss-type, but I get the general feeling its the same as if you'd say "Made it that much more of a git".
