(( So I wanted to put a bit about the IC mishing, but I'm not great at writing action stuff, particularly when I've been in the thick of it and haven't really seen what else has gone on. Soooo, here is my offering as a response to last night's mishing.

Sorry for missing so many people out of Lu's thoughts on working together. I started working through each toon and realised it was going to become hooooooge, so stuck with Akkarin and Ali to start with. ))
Lu grimaced slightly as she examines the state of the protective leather layers she wore when out being a 'hero'. The Crey they had come across when going to meet Night Fox last night had taken an unexpected toll on her attire, and also on her companions. It had been fortunate the guys from the Alliance had come along with her. Alita's idea that it might be a trap had proved correct and Lu felt a little ashamed that she had been so naive. The idea of seeing a retired hero, of hearing why Julia had wanted to go and see him, of maybe hearing some of his stories about the old days had blinded her to the possibilities that something more sinister might be going on.
Fishing her repair kit out of a drawer she set about fixing the holes that Alita had been so appreciative of. She chuckled to herself when she remembered Ali's reaction to the holes. It made her feel good that Ali didn't worry about her being injured, she knew Lu could look after herself in that arena. And it made for teasing comments as gradually more and more skin was exposed during the prolonged conflict with the Crey agents.
As her hands worked methodically to repair the damage to her suit, her mind went over what had happened the previous night. She could not help but apply her coaching mindset to the group and analyse what had gone on as she would analyse a game afterwards. Assessing how they had worked as a team, where the strengths were, and the weaknesses that needed addressing. Akkarin's use of his sword was a joy to watch. He wielded it like it was part of his body and if they could figure out how to work together it could be a very effective combination. Perhaps if she could work with him to develop her technique they could figure out how to work well together to take down the sometimes large groups of criminals they encountered.
Ali's ability to surround their enemies in rings of fire and set her bots on the unattended ones was amazing. Lu always enjoyed working with Alita, even if the heat from the flame often left her eager to jump in the shower. She smiled as her brain suggested blaming it on the fire was cheating and that just spending that much time with Alita made her hot. Thinking back to tactics, if she and Akkarin could somehow gather the foes together, Alita could hold them immobile reasonably effectively, giving everyone time to finish them off.
As she moved from the bodice to work on the legs of her suit she considered the others, all incredible in their own way. If they could figure out how to work really well as a group, then volunteer to tackle some of the higher profile issues affecting Paragon, perhaps the reputation of the Alliance could be restored and people would be proud to be Fletched once again.
