KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
Crey Industries’ Brickstown lab rocked to it’s very foundations as a massive explosion within blew open doors and windows, sending plumes of smoke and debris into the street.
Along with the debris was Veskit, flying through the air like a rag-doll. If not for the car parked a short distance away he would have needed an air hostess to keep him company. The impact heavily dented the car, leaving Ves in a untidy heap moaning quietly. Shakily a hand rose and gripped the hood of the wreck and after several attempts he managed to drag himself to his feet. Cut, bruised and somewhat scorched he shook his head trying to clear his vision, instantly wishing he hadn’t.
“Hell’s teeth that hurt” Was the first coherent sentence from under his still smoking hood, “That never happened before, must be getting out of practice, gonna have to work on that” he chuckled.
Seconds later he was watching the rapidly approaching pavement.
He struggled to his feet again, breathing, clutching a now bleeding nose, and panicking. Something was wrong, the injuries that hadn’t healed yet was the least of his worries, it had been tough in there and he’d been a bit hard pushed. It was more the fact that he couldn’t hear a damn thing and his flickering madly, as if someone was channel surfing with the same show on every one.
Travelling home was an experience, after almost teleporting inside walls a few times Ves gave up and decided to walk. To pass the time he ran a full system scan, and as the statistics ran through his head he started to wish he hadn’t. He arrived home and slumped onto the sofa as the final figures were calculated. The panic that had gripped him since the explosion bypassed dread and headed right for absolute terror as the scans results were displayed internally.
