Yet another RP session at my house means that I'm not going to be around Friday or Saturday. Will do everything in my power to be here on Sunday, though (even if I have to set up a third computer to keep guests happy)

Hey at least you're not around for (what I assume will be) an enjoyable event with people you enjoy the company of. Some of us poor souls are stuck at work.
And not just normal work where you get to come home and still play games with good folks, oh no, the kind of work where you come home, fall asleep, wake up and head right off to work again.
I hate you all, with you're nice cozy day jobs or Uni or whatever (unless you happen to be a lazy jobless slacker sponging off tax payers, in which case I want my share back please)

Okies, just so y'all know...... Might not be around quite as much as usual for the next few days / weeks / months / years. Some evil thoughtless person went and created Final Fantasy 12, and then released it just after I got paid.  Will still be around fairly often, most certainly for GG attendance, but if anything else is planned, a little advance warning would be real nice |

Yeppers, it's out, and the opening cinematic scenes are worth the asking price alone.
Combat system is a little strange compared to the past systems (fully turn based with you fully controlling each party member seems to be a thing of the past, instead half the work is now automated, but it all seems to work out easy enough)
No more random battles (the one thing I actually miss from the older games)
AND............................
The chocobo's look fecking ACE, especially in all their battle gear

The Final Fantasy games MUST be played by everyone.
Seriously, they're ONE of the TWO reasons to own a PS2. I'll consider allowing the Gran Turismo games to take the second place as they do make a fairly decent distraction for the brief periods between finishing a FF game and the unavoidable restarting of the same game just to get that one extra item/weapon/monster you missed last time you played through it (FF10's ultimate weapons, anyone else spend months on end dodging the lightening bolts to get Lulu's or was that just me?)

Im pretty close at having completed EVERY race in GT-3 A-spec. Getting gold ofcourse. Buuuut .. im kinda stuck at the drivers license ... the S one.. So theres .. 3-4 races i cant play in Professional |

FF10 is the one FF game I completed 100%. The sheer joy when the big bad after the Dark Aeons went down (I forget the name, penance?) was beaten. Although FF11 sucks like an ant-eater on speed. I'll be getting 12 when I have the cash.

FF 7, ALL char's at lvl 99 (apart from Aeris) full stable of 6 (yes 6) S class GOLD Chocobo's, all materia mastered, everyone with the master summon, master magic, master command materia (yeah they all had one each, along with any special ones they needed to be linked to other materia like HP absorb-Knights of the Round combo, always handy) grand total game time in excess of 4479 hours (yeah I know, that's the equivalent of over 6 months solid game time)
Repeat the same kind of dedication to FF 8 - 10, add almost as much for FF 10 part 2 (that one fecking Dress sphere that i could never seem to manage to aquire, Mascot, pain in the ass)
FF 11 was one that almost beat CoH to replace WoW when I finally had too much of the annoying little sods on there, then I gave a 30 day trial period a bash, damn near slit my wrists. Almost as disgraceful as calling Spirit's Within a Final Fantasy film, Advent Children FTW!!!!!!!!!

Also Ves that cast on death materia linked with Phoenix was a good one and how I beat emerald weapon OH YEAH

Personal slotting of choice was always.......
W-Summon just chilling on it's own
Knights of the round linked with HP absorb
Bahmaut Zero linked with Quadra Magic
Phoenix linked with Final Attack
And a handy Mimic for everone
Single cast cost for perma-4x Space dragon, and a max possible self heal, and a cooly full res for entire team if anything goes wrong
