Right *rubs hands in typical evil manner* some basic rules for your stay in the Alliance.
First off, the OOC stuff
1. We are primarily a roleplay group, so if you're with us it'd be quite a good idea to roleplay. Yes I know it's obvious but it has to be said.
2. Chat. Local, SG and coalition are IC channels, if you need to say something OOC the general thing is to use double brackets ((Like this)). Team chat is usualy used as OOC chatter, mostly when teaming.
3. SG mode/prestige. Before level 25 this cost you absoloutly nothing, so I ask that you be in SG mode whenever you fight something, prestige = nifty base things after all. After 25 you do start to earn less influence while in SG mode but at first it's not too major, so again I'd ask that you be in it most of the time. After 30 the reduction in influence can be a problem so I leave it up to you wether you want nifty base stuff or more inf for enhancements. Also, if the colours make your character look like an utter pillock, turn them off, easy no?
4. The forums. Ok, this may not be the best place to put this, but here it is anyway. All members should at least sign up, wether you use them or not is up to you but it's dammed handy for finding out whats going on and a good way to get to know your fellow members.
5. Plots. Feel free to start one, we like plots. BUT, please check to see if there are any going on at the moment. Also ask people before you get them involved, randomly draging someone into a plot when they may not want too is what we call "a bit rubbish." No more than 2 actually active plots at the same time (For future referance, I consider an active plot to be one that requires others to interact. I'm in no way stopping you develop your character through general off-screen things, lord knows I do it enough)
Heres the IC bit...
Hey all, I thought it was about time I did something leadery so I've written up these rules and guidelines for members of the Alliance.
First things first, I ((akkarin)) am in charge, the big boss as the say. What I say goes, that's the way it is, no arguments. You're also expected to take any orders from my cheif advisers, Veskit, Kathena and Luminous Phoenix. In reality we rarely give offcial orders, I'd rather the group made decisions together.
Upon joining us all members will go through a two week trial period. This goes for everyone without exception. This is just so we can get to know you and make sure you can be trusted. After that if there are no problems you will be made a full member be either myself or one of the advisers.
Any members that show an exception dedication to the group and it's members will be given the rank of supporter. This role is the main link between the members and myself and advisers. More will be explained to those given this role.
All members are allowed to invite others to the group. I do ask that I am intoduced to anyone that is brought in during their trial period. I'll leave who to invite to your judgement, just don't make me regret it.
We exist to support each other and as such I expect all members to assist the others when possible.
That is all for now.
