Dunno if this really belongs here, but it makes most sense to me in this subforum. *waits for teh bossman to disagree and move it elsewhere * Anyway, I gather from random interrogations that at least some of you read and/or enjoy my little fiction-bites down in the plot section. Working on another one now, in fits and spurts, and decided to do a bit of democracy for once. In short, do people prefer that I post stories A)in bits, noting that I make NO guarantee of regular updating, this is strictly when-it's-done... or B)in a lump when the whole thing is done. Note that I can do either quite comfortably, this is about what -you- would like to see. Any plots that I might run in future are exempt, they'll be updated as and when necessary to maintain the flow, as ya would expect. Any other questions/comments/criticisms of my writing in general are welcome here too. *throws the question to teh floor*

I prefer A too, to be honest. When I'm met with a big long page of text I have to find time to read it and such, and tyhen I can't ormise to remember what happened at the begining by the time I get to the end. ;P
But if you've got a nice chunk to post up, feel free. Will happily read it, but it wil just take me a bit longer, that's all.

I prefer chunks aswell, means I have more time to read it all. Its just the same principal as chapters

I am... honestly... good for both I think. At least im soundly sure, Clumps are great for fast reading. But sometimes I'll just sit there and try to read a whole, 32 chapter fanfiction. Each chapter being the size of south america or somesuch. Really depends, but generaly no size is to big or small.

I personally prefer to read stories when they're broken into several sections. That's not to say that each section should be short, but it makes things more managable if (using a random example) a 5000 word short story was broken into 3 - 4 sections, as it allows me to sit and read a section while eating breakfast, lunch etc.
Segmented stories are also easier to look back on (in case I need to remind myself of anything important)
HOWEVER........
As the writer, it's up to you and what methods you prefer. Altering your writing style to suit others might actually cause you problems, not always easy finding a good place to stop (as I found out when I killed Meph off. Some of those sections were a tad long IMHO) so stick to what YOU find comfortable with
