...but I also feel it needs to be said.
Long story short (stupid phrase that), I'm under a gargantuan amount of stress and pain recently in my oft-ridiculous life, and the strain of keeping up the mask of outward happiness is becoming a little too much to bear.
I love playing CoH and RPing with you guys and I don't want to lose that, I find it pretty good stress relief in itself, and though I hate to ask, I'ma have to ask for a little more leniency from you in terms of my general attitude. I will try as hard as I can to keep a lid on things, but if I don't vent a little should I need to I may just explode on someone, and I don't want that to happen.
OK, so I overcomplicated that. tl;dr version: bear with me if you would until I can chew through this, I know I put enough strain on you guys already and I'm sorry. *hugs and stuff*

Personally, I don't see why you feel the need to apologise May.
We all know that RL is more important than ANY game (yeah, even I take time out to do stuff without a keyboard occasionally) and if you're having a hard time, for whatever reason, then taking a step back to sort things out is not only wise, but highly recommended.
Screw the mask of outward happiness. Been there, tried that, ended up not good. Bottling things up NEVER helps (speaking from very personal experience) and will probably do more harm than good.
You feel like ranting and venting? Do it, I dares ya, and afterwards you might even feel a little better. Getting things off your chest and mind does a power of good, and now we all know the situation, I'm sure no-one will take an angry May blowing off some steam as an overly personal issue.
Take all the time you need, so long as you feel better for it after, it'll be more than worth it.
*mumbles quietly as he wanders off* Can't really imagine May ranting, it'd be a tad unusual. Kinda like being savaged by a concussed duckling....

What Ves said. And as you've probably seen, I usually complain about something or other sometimes during a night while I'm logged on, so dont worry about ranting. Everyone needs a good rant once in a while, and it really does help and make you feel better after you've done it. *fires hugs cannons for May*
