So this guy contacted me last night. Apparently him and a few others from his OOC dying/dead SG want to come to the Fletched. He has a story, I haven't seen it but there you go. I'll edit in his name when I next get out of bed and check what it was; I just thought I'd get everyone's opinions and thoughts since it's a fairly major thing (he said, I think, that they have eight potentials and five sure-to-gos. That number of potentials is quite large compared to our number of regulars.)
Personally I have no problem with it. You lot?

I've bumped into GS a few times on my many alts, he seems sound enough, though the others I can't say as we don't know who they are yet.
Like Kat I have no problems with taking on several new members in one go, although if we do decide to take them I'd suggest an informal meeting between them and any of the advisors and Rin ( if he's back when we can sort out a time and place for it ) just to cover their IC membership. Nothing too fancy, a nice quiet meet 'n' greet session to to get to know them a little, as I personally find it a little odd that they havn't just started their own group, especially with the number of people they have ready to join, along with those considering the move.
Call me a suspicious, cynical git, but past experience with mergers of a similar nature has made me a cautious man when it comes to large numbers joining groups I'm a part of all at once, even more so if they all know each other from previous groups.
Having said that, so long as the current leadership system stays intact, there shouldn't be any problems so I say go for it, but meet them all first.

I personally fail to see where their 'evil' deeds would cause much of a problem.
When you take into consideration the things many of our existing members have done in the past (and are still involved in now in some cases) it would take quite an immense feat of foul play to over step the line between what is and is not acceptable.
There's not much that I can think of to be honest, though it matters not, the deciding factor would be if they meet with approval when they are met face to face. Thats when their true colours wil be shown and the matter resolved, the same way it was for every other member of the Alliance.

Definately need an IC meet with ALL of them first. Esp with 'Rin. Oh and perhaps point them at This Thread so they know what they're getting into? ;D |

LOL It's been ages since i read that thread, caused an early morning / stupidly late at night chuckle just now.
Like I said at the start, meeting them IC as a group is key to making things like this work out smoothly, and Rin being there would help dramatically, unfortunatly he's still away for about another week (which leaves us with nobody to blame if we do something really wrong)
Hopefully they're the patient types and don't mind the wait, and if they do, well then they're prolly not the right kinda people for the FA

Im against the idea ( hopefully not the only one ). Since Meadow doesnt like GS or trust him. Hopefully we are all gonna discuss this IC ? I have been watching him a couple of time and i can say that even OOC i dont "trust" the character ( dont know the player though ). So..
